To implement Hong Kong's advantages as an international hub in Science and  Technology, exceptional basic research, and excellence in young scientists and  industrialists, The Hong Kong Young Academy of Sciences and Tencent Charity Foundation are jointly organising a series of young scientists summit named “Young Academy of Sciences Summit (YASS) 2025-2027”. It is funded by the Innovation and Technology Commission of HKSAR. 

Two main summits, each targeting an audience of around three hundred, will invite eminent young scientists, successful technology professionals, world-renowned academics, and government officials to participate and share their knowledge and insights. The 3rd Summit was held in December 2025, and the 4th Summit is scheduled for December 2026. 

Six Sub-Conferences, each targeting an audience of around one hundred, will be held separately to extend the impact of the main Summits. The conference topics will be tailored to technology industries prioritized for development in Hong Kong, as outlined in the Hong Kong Innovation and Technology Development Blueprint.

Sub-Conferences VII to IX are tentatively scheduled from March to September 2026, while Sub-Conferences X to XII will take place from March to September 2027. To broaden its reach, YASS will be live-streamed to audiences in Hong Kong.
