The YASS comprises two main Summits and six Sub-Conferences. Two main Summits, around three hundred young scientists, leaders in science and technology, the industry, the investment sectors of Hong Kong and other parts of the world as well as senior government officials in Hong Kong are expected to join the Summit. The first Summit will take place at the Charles K Kao Auditorium in the Hong Kong Science Park on 4th December 2023.

Six Sub-Conferences, each targeting a hundred audience, will be held separately to extend the impact of the main Summits. The conference topics will be tailored to technology industries with an edge to develop in Hong Kong, as stated in the Hong Kong Innovation and Technology Development Blueprint. The Sub-Conferences I-III will be held tentatively from March to July 2024. And the Sub-Conferences IV-VI will be held tentatively from February to June 2025. To extend its reach, the YASS will be live streamed to the audience in Hong Kong.
